Artsparks are Jupiter’s fun and informal holiday courses and Little Sparks is our exciting new preschool group running from this autumn term.

Little Sparks courses offer the ultimate in green outdoor art for preschoolers. These morning sessions are packed with fun and messy indoor and outdoor activities which develop preschool skills in the beautiful environment of Jupiter Artland. Using the sculpture in its unique natural setting as a base the children work on stimulating themed art and craft activities. Imaginative play, drama and music sessions alongside the art work add up to a wonderfully busy morning for little ones. Coffee and cake in the Proposals Room for mums and dads to meet and chat too.

9.30am to 12 noon

Suitable for 2.5 year upwards.

Artsparks is Jupiter Artland's holiday programme of courses for children. Using Jupiter unique collection as a base, children learn (without realising!), about contemporary art! Outdoor and indoor activities teach skills and techniques in an informal atmosphere based on an artist’s work. For example a course based on the Cells of  Life by Charles Jencks would involve drawing, mud sculpting in the outdoor classroom space, sculpting in wire and modroc and perhaps a collage or painting of the land forms too. Courses are usually two to three days long and occasionally we offer a full week.  The day  runs from 10am to 4pm and are based in the Woodland Classroom at Jupiter Artland.

During the course the children learn to keep a sketchbook to note down their ideas and of course to draw when and where they like!
