Artist Talk: Anya Gallaccio
Session Content
Join the artist in her installation Stroke to hear more about the chocolate covered room and her wider practice. Born in Paisley, Turner Prize-nominated Anya Gallaccio is known for her large-scale installations that redefine the relationship between art and environment.
Often using organic materials, her work explores fragility, growth, decay and the passage of time. Her amethyst grotto, The light pours out of me is in the permanent collection at Jupiter Artland.
This year Anya Gallaccio was commissioned to create the AIDS Memorial in London, and the largest survey exhibition of her work to date opened at Turner Contemporary, Margate. Anya will be in conversation with Jupiter Artland Curator, Eloise Bennett.
Book your free place to join us for this talk with refreshments served at 18 High Street, Paisley.
