Scotland’s newest small art and music festival Jupiter Rising offers ‘truly memorable nights spent revelling in art, music and nature’. Described as a ‘powerful overview of cutting-edge music and performance’, Jupiter Rising takes place within an iconic landscape of Jupiter Artland, the home of world-class sculpture just outside Edinburgh.
Expect an inventive and experimental programme of live music, sound and performance day and night, artist moving-image and film programmes, talks and discussion, artist-led workshops for all ages, culinary feasting and a whole lot of dancing. A firmly independent and artist-driven festival, Jupiter Rising invites audiences to explore, discover and celebrate underground and DIY practice alongside established and international artists.
Jupiter Rising is a two-night campout festival, starting on Saturday 28 August and finishing up lunchtime Monday 29 August. To experience as much of the programme as possible, we encourage audiences to camp both nights.
JUPITER RISING evolved out of a partnership between Jupiter Artland and Edinburgh Art Festival bringing ROMANTI-CRASH! in 2018 and LUNARNOVA CAMPOUT in 2017.
