Masterclass: London Centre for Book Arts

Learn how to create bespoke, handcrafted books from experts at the London Centre for Book Arts within the fantastic setting of Jupiter Artland. LCBA is an artist-run open-access and education resource centre dedicated to book arts and artist-led publishing. The Centre opened in 2012 in Fish Island, becoming the first and only centre of its kind in the UK.

During this workshop participants will learn how to create by hand a single section case-bound notebook, or what is commonly known as a “hardback” book. Participants will be able to choose from an array of bookcloth and pattern papers to make their own unique book. These books are ideal for presenting work, sketchbooks, gifts, or as the basis for artist books.

Entry to the Artland will be included in your ticket, as well as a delicious lunch with a glass of wine or soft drink, and teas and coffees on arrival.
