Jupiter Artland is situated 12 miles from the centre of Edinburgh just off the A71. The main (and only entrance) gates are situated on the B7015. It is a short drive or approximately a 15 minute walk from the main gates to the Steadings Area, where our ticket office, shop, gallery, café and toilets are located, in the centre of the estate. Disabled toilets and baby changing facilities are also available in this area. The Steadings area is approximately 100 metres from our disabled car park and 300 metres from our main car park.

Jupiter Artland is a 100-acre site and it takes approximately 2 hours to walk around the entire collection. Our site is a natural woodland area, which can be uneven under foot. There are paths leading around the entire site, which are suitable for most outdoor wheelchair users.  However as they are not tarmac paths they can be susceptible to extreme weather conditions.  Due to the positioning of the artworks, paths don’t necessarily go right up to each artwork but provide a view of each piece (with some exceptions).  We aim to maintain paths and walkways; however, the weather can affect the quality of the ground underfoot. We suggest sensible footwear is worn in all conditions as some visitors may find some areas difficult to access.
Please be aware that the road up to the Steadings area is cobbled with a gravel section, which isn’t suitable for some indoor wheelchairs. Cafe Party, the Steadings and Goldsworthy Galleries are fully wheelchair accessible via a ramp. It is possible to use alternative access in good weather conditions for indoor wheelchairs – please contact for further information. Please be aware that we do not provide mobility scooters or motorised wheelchairs on site.

  • FREE access to all blue badge holders plus entry for one carer

Customer testimonies

"The staff were proactively helpful towards people with disabilities - Thank You."
- Bryony, Jupiter Artland customer

"Had a fabulous afternoon out yesterday at Jupiter Artland. I'm disabled and use a mobility scooter to get around. I was able to see everything in the park with no problem. I was very impressed that Blue Badge holders got in free, but not only that, also their carer gets in free. So myself and my hubby had a wonderful free day out. Would very highly recommend this to anyone who uses a mobility scooter or motorised wheelchair."
