Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Chef de Partie , you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including chopping, slicing, and marinating as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals during service periods.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- A passion for cooking and creating high-quality dishes that delight customers.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
