- Laura Aldridge
Jupiter Artland is a sculpture park, a landscape, and a working idea. Set across 100 acres of West Lothian meadow and woodland, it brings together permanent works by leading international artists with an ambitious programme of temporary exhibitions.
Wander the grounds, encounter work that surprises you, and spend time in MAKE studio, where you can pick up materials and create something yourself. No experience required. No extra charge. Just the invitation to try.
Your admission goes entirely to the Learning Foundation – funding workshops, schools programmes, and creative opportunities for young people across Scotland. You’re not just seeing art. You’re making it possible for others to make it.
When you visit Jupiter Artland, you’re not a customer—you’re a philanthropist. Every ticket is a donation.
Every visit is an act of collective generosity.

It costs you nothing extra, but it means we can claim 25p back from the government for every £1 you spend. That’s real money that goes directly into our Learning Foundation programmes.
One small tick. A bigger impact.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Bring your four-legged friend along
We love welcoming dogs to Jupiter Artland – there’s nothing like exploring the sculpture park with your faithful companion by your side.
To help us look after the landscape, wildlife, and the sheep and deer who call Jupiter home, we ask for a small additional ticket for dogs. This helps us keep numbers manageable so everyone (two legs and four) can enjoy a relaxed, safe visit.
Here are some simple rules to follow:
Dog Day Tickets are available to purchase online or at the Box Office upon arrival.
Members are welcome to bring their dogs with a valid Dog Membership, which allows us to accommodate canine visitors more safely.
Please note: Dog Memberships are available exclusively to Friends of Jupiter Artland.
Why we ask you to leave the picnic at home?
Jupiter Artland is home to sculptures, wildflower meadows, grazing sheep, fallow deer, and all sorts of wildlife and keeping it that way takes constant care.
Food waste and packaging can and have tragically harmed the animals in the past who live here, and leftover crumbs attract pests that upset the delicate balance of our grounds. By asking visitors not to picnic, we can protect what makes this place so special.
The good news? Our Café, Silverstreak, and Kiosk serve up everything from fresh coffee to proper meals – all made with the same care we put into everything at Jupiter. So you can refuel without worry, and know that your visit is helping us look after this extraordinary landscape for years to come.

It is about a 15-minute walk from the main gates to the Steadings area, where our shop, gallery, café and toilets are located.
There is a dedicated disabled car park about 100 metres from the Steadings area. The main car park is located 300 metres from the Steadings.
The path to the Steadings area is cobbled with a gravel section, there is a paved accessible ramp on the left of this path.
Jupiter Artland is a 120-acre site and it takes approximately two hours to walk around the entire collection. Our site is a natural woodland area, which can be uneven underfoot.
There are paths leading around the entire site, which are suitable for most outdoor wheelchair users. However, as they are not tarmac paths they can be susceptible to extreme weather conditions.
Due to the positioning of the artworks, some paths don’t go right up to each sculpture, instead providing a view of each piece (with some exceptions). We recommend sensible footwear is worn in all conditions as some visitors may find some areas difficult to access.
The café and Steadings galleries are both fully wheelchair accessible via a ramp.
There is step-free access to the Ballroom Garden via the terrace in the Steadings area and wheelchair access to the Ballroom Gallery via a ramp.
Free touch tours and access for blind and visually impaired groups can be organised through the learning team. For more information, please contact learning@jupiterartland.org
