Lower Steadings sits at the heart of the sculpture park, forming part of the original Steadings buildings that frame the central courtyard. From the outside, the space carries the texture and character of the historic architecture, while inside it offers a clean, adaptable interior that can be shaped to suit a wide range of events.

The room opens directly onto the Steadings courtyard, allowing events to extend outdoors with ease. This central outdoor space can be used for arrivals, welcome drinks or informal gathering, with the option to introduce fire pits, seating or canapés by arrangement. The combination of indoor flexibility and courtyard access makes Lower Steadings particularly well suited to celebrations, weddings, corporate dining and mixed-format events that benefit from movement and flow.

As one of the most frequently used event spaces on site, Lower Steadings offers both atmosphere and practicality, balancing a strong sense of place with the freedom to create something bespoke.

Lower Steadings supports a range of event formats, from seated dining to more relaxed, flowing gatherings that make use of both the interior space and the courtyard beyond. Capacity can be adjusted depending on layout and event style.
