A Folded Tree

Kate Colin is designer and maker based in Glasgow who works with folded forms to create bold and colourful lighting, homewares, installations and artworks. Interested in three-dimensional geometric form, her range of unique designs are created through intricate scoring and paper folding techniques through which she explores how light, colour and geometry interact.

She has exhibited at the London Design Fair and held solo shows at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre and The Lighthouse in Glasgow. She is a QEST scholar, a graduate of the Crafts Council’s Hothouse programme and regularly teaches throughout the UK.
