Sgàire Wood

Sgàire Wood (b.1993) is an Irish multidisciplinary artist based in Glasgow using performance, sculpture and installation to interrogate themes of identity. Her work utilises cultural semiotics and the aesthetics of artifice to achieve moments of authenticity, confronting our shared relationships with images and deconstructing societal taboos around the body, violence, mental health and queer sexuality.

Gemma Rolls-Bentley

Gemma has been at the forefront of contemporary art for two decades, working passionately to champion diversity in the field. Her latest book Art Essentials: Queer Art co-authored with Mollie E. Barnes has just been published by Thames & Hudson.  She is the author of Queer Art; From Canvas to Club and the Spaces Between, which has has been highlighted as a must-read by Them, Dazed, Timeout, The Guardian, Cultured and the FT.  

Gemma’s curatorial practice amplifies the work of female and queer artists and provides a platform for art that explores LGBTQIA+ identity. She has curated for a range of international galleries and institutions, most recently The Alice Austen House Museum, ICA London, Wolterton Hall, and the Leslie Lohman Museum of Art.
