Tucked away in the heart of Jupiter Artland sculpture park, just outside Edinburgh, The Artist’s House is a truly unique and inspiring property that is perfect for a group of friends or family alike and accommodates 6 guests across 3 bedrooms each with private bespoke ensuite facilities.
This beautifully restored cottage blends comfort with creativity, featuring an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living area with log burner, and a picturesque terrace with panoramic views across the fourth towards Fife, these areas are perfect for relaxed gatherings, long dinners, and quiet moments surrounded by contemporary art.
Filled with a thoughtfully curated private collection of art, every corner of the house reflects the spirit of Jupiter Artland and spills out into a glorious private garden with festoon lighting and an outdoor log burning bath.
Your booking also includes full access to the magical landscape of Jupiter Artland all day and exclusive evening use. Furthermore, you can indulge within our restaurant Café Party of peruse our onsite Shop.
Guests can also enjoy a private Joana Vasconcelos “Gateway” heated outdoor pool (available by booking).

- Sleeping up to 6 guests, the cottage features three beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms: a luxurious Super King master with a freestanding bath and private balcony, a second Super King suite, and a stylish twin room—each offering comfort and privacy in equal measure.
- French doors open onto a spacious deck and private garden, offering sweeping views across the Firth of Forth and the iconic bridges, illuminated by night. Nestled within its own orchard and complete with private parking, the cottage is perfect for both quiet retreats and lively gatherings. Fire up the Big Green Egg barbecue for alfresco feasts or slip into the Swedish wood-fired outdoor tub and soak beneath the stars.
- Only 15 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 30 minutes from Edinburgh City.

- Please note that a 5 % fee will be added to your final invoice for any stays on or after 24th July 2026. This is the newly mandatory Edinburgh Visitor Levy introduced by Edinburgh Council.
- Minimum stay 2 nights and minimum lead booking time of 24-hours.

Located at the heart of Jupiter Artland, your stay also includes unlimited access for all guests to enjoy the park both in and out of opening hours. Make time to explore over 100 acres of grounds featuring a unique collection of over thirty site specific sculptures as well as beautiful Scottish woodlands.
From Charles Jencks’ iconic landforms to the peace and tranquility of Christian Boltanski’s Animitas at the pond, enjoy a misty morning or evening sunset like no other.
Book a private swim in our outdoor pool by Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos. Made up of vibrant, hand-painted tiles the pool offers a unique experience to swim in an artwork (summer bookings only).

Get back to nature with the endless landscape surrounding Jupiter Artland.
To the South enjoy the Pentland hills. With 10,000 hectares of countryside and 100km of paths, this Regional Park boasts many a great hike and hidden pubs you can cosy up in after a day of walking. To the North the soft red smudge of the Greendyke Shale Bing sits in the foreground, and in the distance, the angular constructions of the 3 Bridges over the Firth of Forth to the Ochil Hills.
